Learning about machinery training


what is ICA Bremen's 'learning about machinery' training?

In association with Deutsche Institute für Textil- und Faserforschung Denkendorf (DITF), this two day training course covers a range of textile areas including; spinning, weaving, knitting and finishing. Delegates will even get to see the machinery used at DITF, Germany’s largest centre of textile research.


who should attend?

The programme is aimed at individuals of all ages with an interest in textile machinery and is particularly suitable for merchants, growers and the textile industry.


what is included in the programme?

The programme incorporates a wide range of topics delivered by industry experts from DITF. These include: 

  • Spinning
  • Weaving
  • Finishing and Functionalization
  • Knitting
  • Nonwovens
  • Garment Production

The training also includes detailed explanations at the machines.


where and when is the next course taking place?

The next training programme will run 16-17 May 2018 at DITF in Denkendorf, Germany. 


what is the cost?

For ICA or BBB members, the ticket price is €800 (+VAT where applicable). For non-members the ticket price is €900 (+VAT where applicable).

Ticket prices included training, training materials, lunch and refreshments during training days. 

Please note: this cost is exclusive of accommodation. 

If you are unable to attend the 'Learning about Machinery' training, please notify ICA Bremen in writing before 18 April 2018 for a refund. The refund will be minus a EUR €150 charge to cover bank, agency and administration charges already incurred. Cancellations after this time will result in loss of full payment. 


what about accommodation?

Your training fee does not include the cost of accommodation – you must book this yourself. 

We have secured a limited number of rooms for our delegates at the Hotel Schwanen. The rate is EUR €79 per standard room per night or EUR €95 per Delux room per night (located in the hotel's new 'S2' building).
