what is ICA Bremen's 'learning about machinery' training?

In association with the Institute of Textile Technology and Process Engineering (ITV Denkendorf), this two day training course covers a range of textile areas including; spinning, weaving, knitting and finishing. Delegates will even get to see the machinery used at ITV Denkendorf, Germany’s largest centre of textile research.

The programme is aimed at individuals of all ages with an interest in textile machinery and is particularly suitable for merchants, growers and the textile industry.

The programme incorporates a wide range of topics delivered by industry experts from ITV Denkendorf. These include: 

  • Spinning
  • Weaving
  • Finishing and Functionalization
  • Knitting
  • Nonwovens
  • Garment Production

The training also includes detailed explanations at the machines.

The training is delivered at ITV in Denkendorf, Germany. The date of the next training course is yet to be confirmed.

As guidance, here are the costs for the 2016 training course which took place in June.

For ICA or BBB members, the cost was €350 (+VAT where applicable). For non-members the cost was €420 (+VAT where applicable).

Ticket prices included training, training materials, lunch and refreshments during training days. The ticket price also included transport from Bremen to Denkendorf for delegates who had completed the 2016 Cotton Classing & Testing training.
