Learning about machinery training


what is ICA Bremen's 'learning about machinery' training?

In association with the Institute of Textile Technology and Process Engineering (ITV Denkendorf), this two day training course covers a range of textile areas including; spinning, weaving, knitting and finishing. Delegates will even get to see the machinery used at ITV Denkendorf, Germany’s largest centre of textile research.


who should attend?

The programme is aimed at individuals of all ages with an interest in textile machinery and is particularly suitable for merchants, growers and the textile industry.


what is included in the programme?

The programme incorporates a wide range of topics delivered by industry experts from ITV Denkendorf. These include: 

  • Spinning
  • Weaving
  • Finishing and Functionalization
  • Knitting
  • Nonwovens
  • Garment Production

The training also includes detailed explanations at the machines.


where and when is the next course taking place?

The training will run from 18 -19 May at ITV in Denkendorf, Germany. 


what is the cost?

For ICA or BBB members, the cost is €550 (+VAT where applicable). For non-members the cost is €650 (+VAT where applicable).

Ticket prices included training, training materials, lunch and refreshments during training days. The ticket price also included transport from Bremen to Denkendorf for delegates who are completing the 2017 Cotton Classing & Testing training.

Please note: this cost was exclusive of accommodation. 


what about accommodation?

We have secured a limited number of rooms for our delegates at the Hotel- Restaurant Schwanen. The rate is €79 per room per night (inclusive of breakfast). These rooms will be available to book until 17 April 2017.
